SARAH S. SPINKS

So you wanna get a tattoo?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I book an appointment?

Two ways...

  1.  If you aren’t ready to commit to an appointment and want to schedule a time to talk about your design, BOOK A CONSULTATION. Here we can go over your ideas, do some light sketching together, take pictures of the area you want to get tattooed, find reference and I can answer any questions about the process. Consultations are preferred for clients desiring cover-up work. Typically, consultations are 15 min or less.

  2. Ready to get tattooed? Maybe you have reference and you’ve already decided on what you really, really want and that you want me to make it for you! Well, thank you! Perhaps I’ve tattooed you before, maybe not...know that I am pretty time efficient, enjoy the process of people coming to the shop and working with them to create their art on the spot. This is a great option for people who are seeking tattoos from me but might not live conveniently close to Vista.

How long will my tattoo take?

  1. A smallish tattoo, with detail or simple. Some examples of small tattoos: finger tattoo, name on wrist, delicate initials or dates. These types of tattoos typically take an hour or less.

  2. Medium sized tattoos, about the size of a softball, can be simple or more detailed - like a portrait. Some examples of medium sized tattoos could be a floral arrangement, a quote, family crest, portrait/pet portrait, etc.

  3. Large tattoos….sometimes these sized tattoos can be completed in one session, sometimes not. Booking this type of tattoo session might be a good option if you’re interested in coverage. Examples of large tattoos: projects that might need a few sessions, extremely detailed tattoos, drawn on backgrounds to tie tattoo work together, back pieces, sleeves.

Do you do cover ups?

Yes! But it's best to book a consultation so we can figure out together what will work to make this reality. Please note that it is best for you to be flexible when it comes to deciding what will work best to achieve a successful cover-up.
Please take a look at Sarah's tattoo portfolio to get an idea of the type of work she has done. Sarah enjoys being versatile, but if she feels it is not in her scope and there is someone better for the job, don’t take it personal! She wants you to have a fantastic tattoo!
$100 deposit WILL come off of the total price of the tattoo (at the time of the last appointment if multiple session project).

How far do you book out?

Sarah usually books out no more than 3 months. Please do not send a tattoo request if your desired appointment date is more than 3 months out.

What are your rates?

Sarah charges $200/hr. Pricing is based on size, placement, etc. A $100 deposit is required to book an appointment. The deposit goes toward the final cost of your tattoo. For multi-session tattoos, the deposit will be held and taken off your last session. Deposits need to be sent as soon as a date/time is agreed upon to secure your appointment. Otherwise, you risk losing your slot. Sarah requires a 24 hour notice to reschedule.
